I think that white would be a good choice as I haven't seen people here complaining about their white cars.
I agree re black. It also absorbs heat, which can be an issue in some geographical areas but not in others. I had a black Dodge Colt (same as a Mitsubishi Mirage). Re white cars, white can be a good choice. I had a white GTI and it was fairly easy to keep looking clean. I have found silver is the easiest to keep looking clean.

My '08 HB is white, with dark tint, as dark as legal, windows. My first white car and I am loving it. Very noticable on a mid 90's sunny day when you get back in. Something about a small white car with dark windows just looks cool to me, pun intended. I like it so much that when I sell my '89 AllTrac, my winter ride, I have been looking real hard at a white 2002 Rav4 4x4. I want a pair of white Toyotas, kind of a corporate fleet look!

BTW I've done the math and it makes sense for me to drive the Yaris as much as possible, and then when winter really hits (major mountain dirt roads, unplowed, 4x4 isn't a option, you HAVE to have it), thanks to my cheap insurance and cheap state registration, less then $200.00 annual total here in Idaho.

Cool! If you don't mind my asking, what percentage tint did you do (is legal) in Idaho for each window and which windows did you do?

As an owner of several black cars in Toronto area, I say don't. They get ridiculously hot while parked and you need to blast ac for good 10 minutes to start feeling any relief. And they get dirty quickly.
With white I find that any paint mismatches tend to stand out more. Grey works well for me. Silver would be nice too.
