UPDATE:

752.2 miles door to door
4 Stops - Twice for Gasoline, first at the midway point, 2nd at the end.
Trip running time - 12 hrs. 46 min. (included a drive through at Mac's for coffee and b-fast)

Started with a full tank stopped midway through put in 9.78 gals.
Stopped again .5 mile my from final destination put in 9.329 gals

752.2/19.109=39.36 mpg.

Will post some overcast, and highway pics soon.

UltraGauge had me at 41.2 for the trip, but I know that that is based on 11.1 gal at full when in fact it can be 11.6 or even more at the first click. It has always registered 1-2 mpg more than the pump actual, (which Is really the only thing I go by).

The temps were moderate for mid-december started in the low 30's at 2 AM in SE Massachusetts and wound up in low 50's near Columbus. Was overcast whole trip and only once a brief rain event otherwise roads were dry.

Returning Thursday, when the weather is forecast to be mix of rain/sleet/snow etc.

Gas on the road was 3.39/gal. Here outside Columbus in 7 days it has been 3.25, 2.99, 3.07 currently 3.19 gal.

Happy Holidays.

That sounds just about identical to my best MPG. Well, except for the gas prices!

My last two tanks have been over 39 MPG each, but both under 40 MPG....first tanks under 40 MPG in quite a long time.

In So-Cal if I drive to achieve maximum MPG on the freeway (uh, "slow enough to") I'd be ticketed for obstructing traffic

LOL. I lived in Orange County for 6 1/2 years and spent time all over (San Diego, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Barbara Counties) and....you are, to a large extent, correct .
