That makes not one lick of sense. People, like every other animal on the planet, adapt to their environments. Diet, weather, habitat, all that leads to changes in physical structure. Multiply that over generations and generations, and you've got races. Evolution, my friend, evolution.

Anyhoo, I saw a bit of a special done by 20/20 on this very subject. Supposedly there are VERY few countries in the world that have this stigma against inter-cousin marriage. And scientific studies have revealed that the chance for birth defects only increases by 2-5%, which is fairly insignificant.

Y'know, I've got a super-hot cousin that just happens to be as geeky as me... sci-fi, fantasy novels, all that stuff..... Hmmmm.........

I'd answer that to the best of my own personal understanding, but I'm not quite sure what you mean???

LOL, wouldn't THAT be funny?! Turns out we're all just the descendants of some alien's "dog" that escaped while they were on vacation millions of years ago!

hrm, well, back on topic.

inter-family marriages make for great family reunions! Less food to buy and fewer people at your house over the holidays!

true! its gotta be cool at the wedding, when your guests come, and the ushers ask whether they're with the family of the bride or groom, and they can actually say "BOTH!!". but writing holiday/birthday letters to family would be weird, since your greetings would start off: "Dear Dad AND Uncle..."
