Heavy, IMHO not really if just picking up and carrying. Its more awkward setting it in place because it has to be set in sideways then turned and lowered down. It has to be done that way because of the nubs towards the front of the box (orig piece would be plastic totes under the floor that have a small piece that sticks out). I put the box in by myself and wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but if a friend is near makes sense to use two people.
It really is a more accurate setup. Previous subs did not sound this good. Having stored the 12s for about 8 years and then listening to them recently I though that I was getting too old to listen to them. Putting the two 8s in really changed my mind. I don't have to have it pound like I used to. I listen to a variety of music. Dubstep hits hard enough with these and turning on Jazz can be a real treat now :-). It dials in better and sounds better overall. |

I had a couple of friends that have 2x15" and 2x18" woofers that come from the SPL world and listen to my system and go "WOW" You would be surprised what my 6.5" subwoofer can do against my 12" sub. Enjoy your new system! D.
