Ride quality, a more extreme drop, and the ability to change ride hight due to road conditions, coilovers are 100% performance, personaly I would not want them on a daily driver, too much hasle, that is why I prefer bags, but I like to go show, with a lil bit of go

The Tein basics have a very good ride. Better than stock in some cars.

Is there a KYB or TOKICO shock equivalent to the TRD? If they are supplying TRD with the shocks... must be one out there with out the TRD sticker at a lower price... don't you think?

Hey Rockland, can you get the manufacturer part number (not the Toyota/TRD part #) for the Yaris shocks? It might be written in small letters some where on the shock.

It's possible KYB makes the TRDs for the US market and Tokico make them for the rest of the world. The USA Yaris is most likely assembled in the USA.

I emailed KYB about this already because I wanted the AGX or some other reasonably priced adjustable absorber. KYB replied to me by saying that although there may be a KYB branded version of the TRD absorber in the future, there is not one available at this time. Meaning, Toyota probably has a one or two year contract with KYB that gives TRD exclusive branding on this particular KYB absorber. That's my guess.

Nope! They are made by KYB. Tokiko shocks are crap IMO! Wait for the AGX 2's from KYB which will be adjustable. A Very very good shocks which will not disappoint!!
