And yes, different gains can change the sound...

Honestly, there are many variables that can alter the image and stage.

I've also found that the P-99 voltmeter under rates your voltage slightly off battery measurement. There are also explanations for this...

Thought so, Loll i guess i trouble shoot from the hardware side of things vs the processing side of it.

Reason I asked about voltage is i thought D had recently rewired a speaker, due to a loose connection ?

I'll let you guys trouble shoot and maybe it's all in the processing. I deff wouldn't rule out an RCA cable, or even a channel on the amp. What is being perceived as the center image moving could be the early signs of something giving out.

Sq how did you know something had went out at finals ? Was there any warning at all ?

^are you asking how did I know something went wrong at finals with my processor?

If that is the question, the answer is because the week before finals I had heard crackling in the right side. The night before the crackling increased and then the entire system went to full volume for a second then...dead silence.

In a matter of hours I had to NASCAR the hell out of the system. My cousin and I were throwing panels left and right, taking seats out, removing carpet...

It happened on finals day as well. Noise noise noise! GRRRRR! Noise in the source. We tried everything we knew to eliminate signal path noise. From chassis grounding the source and amps to the "magic" wire on the RCAs.

It ended up that somehow feedback from the processor "explosion" fed back to the deck and partially killed that as well.

Rule #1...don't have some yahoo mod your $hit!

That is one of my many issues that I have with Team Hybrids. Apparently they never felt the need to let me know that Jeremy Carlson's failure rate on his mods was nearly 100%. I found that out after finals...oh boy! I went to the moon! I still get heated just thinking about it. It's called integrity and being forthcoming about results. Boy, did that not happen.

Lollll. Sounds like he just soldered some sh!t together and said "here. Try this "

I'd deff check the voltage at the amp for the mids and highs in the morning. Then again on the way home. We usually asks how summer and heat effects our audio equipment. But how does extreme cold.

Yeah...something like that. I now have a paperweight that Pyramid Audio can't fix because Audison won't release the schematics. I could go through a back door deal to get the schematics but it just isn't worth my time and effort.

I'll prolly sell it on eBay as a replacement parts piece for $100 shipped.

There's no way I'm having the guy who originally modded the piece EVER touch anything of mine again. Heck, I've napalmed the HAT/Team Hybrids bridge so hard that my name is on their untouchables list.

...funny thing is, I'm happier being on that list. At least I won't get screwed by my own "team".

Send me a part number and what it is. Never know

Also. Ever heard of amp medics. Think they're in FL. May be able to explain the situation and have them troubleshoot it to factory condition.

Derick,

...2 hours of file transfers...

That's just placing files from one hard drive to another. I've still got to look at my original HD then cherry pick files from my current laptop...

...the catch? You need to have your speakers level matched off an RTA.i wish I had a day to spend with your car...

I went through this many times, I believe I can recognize when is out of phase and how to correct it, Cool.

Now I'm going to do the RTA level match for the speakers.

So I put some of this stuff that looks like egg foam under the dash, near the MIDs specially on hard surfaces and where the sound wave of the MIDs and LOWs would hit before hitting my ears.

The issues here are "reflections" ...

After the foam was attached with double side heavy duty tape and turn my music and Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh

My stage was gone, couldn't imagine how big the difference it makes. So I started tuning especially with individual frequencies, Levels, L+R EQ and T/A

In the middle of this process, some thing funny and at the same time educative happened:

When I was centering on 2.5 kHz with the L+R EQ the signal was hitting my left ear no matter what I did to the EQ, I started blocking with my foot and hand the left mid and left tweeter and nothing... then I noticed that when moving my hand near the left window (pilot's side) the signal would turn down. it was the Right MID hitting the glass on my left side then hitting my left ear. Who would imagine.

For the hell of it, put it on your back window. See what happens.

The HD is going out tomorrow. I'll call you if there are any Q's.

I don't have more Foam to play with, but I've been playing with this shade...

It does help.

I had to start from scratch... 2 days later I'm where I was! and beyond... even better...

The Yaris is getting very intimidating...

Even the RTA from my phone looks much better...

I could've sworn you had different wheels. Did you switch em out for your summer wheels?

Yes the black ones are for summer and the OEM for winter.
