When I encounter an idiot driver around here, the person is RARELY driving a pickup. There is a 'relationship' between Texans and their trucks that definitely has market impact. My understanding is that that is a significant reason why Toyota decided to manufacture the Tundra in San Antonio.
Here the pickup drivers are usually the biggest d-bags on the road.

I was going to say ... I hate pickup truck drivers here. They mostly drive like ******** (insert your own word, mine is too bad for this forum).

Re the tourists here in Edmonton. I actually rarely see any US tagged vehicles and if I do it is cause they are at West Edmonton Mall or they are working here and are off to Fort McMurray.

I must admit, I did go there (Had to see what it looked like in person ). Same re the Mall of America. The edifice itself (in both cases) intrigued me, not the shopping.

When I think about d-bag pickup drivers, California comes to mind, and sans dogs. Sane pickup drivers in California (who I've encountered) seem to usually have dogs.

Re the sound of a Yaris, My cousin's wonderful dog can hear my Yaris (from inside the house) coming down the street (my Yaris is stock) and he gets all excited and runs around the house, knowing he's going to see me (and remains that excited until he can finish giving me a proper greeting). I know my cousin isn't pulling my leg, because the same dog does the same thing when she is coming down the street in her Escape (also stock) and I am in the house (with her dog). My cousin told me her dog doesn't have this reaction to hearing any other cars, just my Yaris and her Escape.
