What would cause the +12v wire to intermittently ground out? I have it tapped into the switched wire for my head unit. The gauge worked perfectly before, then one day about a week ago it starts dropping to zero...

EDIT: I know for a fact its not the wiring, that I did at least. I piggy backed like wires together. All gauges are working, theres got to be something wrong with my sensor/sending unit.
