Front struts

Anyone here ever changed the front struts.. i think im having a clunking sound coming from the top plate drivers side. Do i need to remove cowl covers, wiper arms etc, to do the struts on this car.. if so bad design really.

CTScott can you help me out here ?? ;)..

I believe i can reach the top of the strut with a box end and allen key.. I might not have to dismantle the wiper arms and cowl covers.. anyone else her remove the struts without dismantling wiper arms and cowl covers.. ??

it was about a ten minute process to remove the cowl and wiper arm assembly from my sedan. Doing so frees up space to wrench. Your knuckles will appreciate that.

Note: clunking is more likely coming from a broken sub-frame bolt. Have a dealer run your VIN to determine if the service advisory was completed on your car.

Yes, but it's not that bad to remove the cowling. Done it both ways.
