Hmm did you know that "six speeds" means absolutely nothing? As long as the ratio of the top gear is the same that's all that matters. I've even heard it said more speeds means more shifting means LESS mpg. Thus a three speed with the same gear ratio in top gear will get better mpg.
Have we had this conversation? I would like a diesel too but nothing over 600 cc's!
