Don't know what a normal wrench is bt if use a 3/8 ratchet it hits the crank pulley and ur on an angle which will strip the bolt bt hey to each his own .

use a wrench instead of a 3/8 socket drive.

Yeah, thanks to the A/C lines, it is a very tight space. Depends on your ratchet set. I have one 3/8" that will not fit, and another with a slightly thinner head which will just clear the lines. I use it to break the bolt free, then finish backing it out with a wrench.
