I don't know whether this can be applied to the 4 cyl engine (I have the 1kr-fe, remember...), but mine runs fine in 5th gear from 18MPH on
 Does not save much, probably it compensates for my late shifting in order to get an acceptable acceleration^^ I blame some of my 39MPG on the winter tires - last summer, I got almost 50mpg on a flat highway^^ |
