Feeler TRD header
Feeler looking at selling some of spare parts I don't need.
I have a genuine authentic TRD header for the Yaris that has less than 400 miles on it. This part is pretty rare and really hard to come by asking $440. Last edited by xnamerxx; 02-03-2014 at 01:19 PM. |

The unicorn of exhaust manifolds. They are sure proud of that piece, 88,000 yen - or about $870.

What's the random pipe coming off of the base just opposite the 02 sensor?

It appears to be an EGR tube that capped off, its closed off and not hooked up to anything. It doesn't get in the way of anything its just there.

That is really wild. Looking at the JDM EPC, the Vitz with the INZ gets a stock manifold with that same hookah attached. There is nothing that attaches to it though. According to one of the documents that I found on the TRD manifold, it is supposed to add 10 HP and 4.3 ftlb torque (when used in conjunction with the TRD exhaust and TRD intake).

What is the purpose of that funky piece? Could this outperform the DC headers you think.

That tube was originally for an EGR tube, but as the Yaris 1NZ-FE doesn't have EGR it was capped since its not needed.
I can't say for certain, I wasn't happy with the DC header I had because of the of low end torque I lost, but I can say this the TRD piece is an equal length header with really nice mandrel bends and nice tig welded joints. |

It's interesting to note how they curled the equal length runners around each other to make them as long as possible while still occupying the same end to end space. That is a beautifully designed product!
Oooh... found a good pic of one except without the EGR! That pipe could easily be removed and welded shut. The header on my truck used that same equal length design to get longer runners into a shorter space.. |

Just based on the tubes being equal length I think the TRD unit would have a slight edge over the DC.

I agree. The slightly longer equal length runners would give it tuned resonant frequencies where the exhaust would scavenge better at certain rpm ranges. I'd love to see a dyno chart for that header! Greg |

What's the diameter of the tubes? Gosh that trd plate on it makes it look so good. Wish it was visible for third party viewing haha
