at what point do the stock rods/pistons fail?

I'm seeing 8-10 psi from my td04. On stock internals. Been going strong for almost a year now.

Out of curiosity does anyone have the weights of the stock pistons compared to the aftermarket options? All of the aftermarket pistons appear to be quite heavy compared to the stock ones.

That is an interesting question indeed. I can ballpark the stock weight prolly next week once I get my crank back. I would suppose aftermarket will dependent upon design (I or H beam) and manufacturer.

How much horsepower/torque are you making and how usually do you floor the pedal? thats very important.

By the way here in greece we have 2 1nzfes working on 150whp/ 19wkgm for over 4 years with mild/agressive driving without issues
