The sedan, while much less awkward looking than the old Echo, doesn't offer any visual appeal beyond the aging design of the current Corolla. Even in S trim, it's a little dull. I'm honeslty not sure why Toyota didn't just tart up the amenities on it a bit and sell it as a new Corolla here. They would seem aimed at such similar tastes, and their price points are already pretty close to each other...

in this forum, expect users to say LB. shit, i say LB. but in the streets, i see 3 sedans to every LB. thats cool, makes the Lbs more rare... in a few years, we can call them "limited editions"...

--B ps: its crazy but we see trend this even in the aftermarket business. the civic had a ton of stuff, while the corolla had jack. same trend with the fit (plenty) and yaris (few)...

personally, i like the looks of the sedan better. if they had brought the old Vitz design over, then i would have picked that. for me, the LB will need some extras to make it look good to me (not bashing, just not my taste).
i got the sedan for carpooling needs. i would have got the LB if that was not the case, however. all-in-all i'm not going to bash on the LB just because i have a sedan. seems immature to me. |

I duno, at work I see 3 LB there at different times. I got the only sedan so far at work (over 300empoyes) and the only S model I have seen in the area also. So for now I see a higher LB ratio, which is cool cause my sedan s stands out from the crowd :)...for now

If I were looking for a sedan, i would go with the civic sedan.
I bought a dishwasher for my mom last nite and the guy bringing it out of Lowes said, "That's not gunna fit." I said "Oh yes it will" Well, it did fit and the guy was simply amazed at what the LB could swallow. I even had room for my toolbox bach there. Try that with a sedan... and my kids fit perfectly when I don't have a dishwasher in the hatch!

I didn't like the sedan at first but it's really been growing on me, it's got a really cheeky smiley look to it, and it's much less boring than other bigger sedans.
But, I'll never swap my Hatch for one

I cast my vote for the liftback, though I actually like the front end of the sedan a little better. The sedan's butt looks awful, and the liftback is much more versatile.

Sedan all the way for me... I am all about symmetry and the liftback to me looks like a tear drop or a wedge of cheese driving down the road while the sport sedan IMO has the perfect shape I was looking for. To each his own.

LOL... there's no such thing as a "sport" sedan... no matter what those marketing people say. A sedan is a family car, period. That's why it has four doors. |
