Here in the U.K. petrol(gas) has dropped to it's lowest for some time at around the 1.98 U.S. Dollars/litre (£1.24). That equates to 8.99 U.S. Dollars/ Imperial gallon. I'll let someone else do the conversion to U.S.(Queen Anne) gallons.
