Thought I would pour in some 411 to this ember of a thread.
I recently pumped ~8 gallons of E85 into my 07 sedan by accident (to an existing 2 gallons of regular unleaded). I freaked out thinking it would damage the engine, but the Clerk working that night reassured me that it would not do any damage. He said that as long as you don't do it often and dilute it with regular gasoline that the car should be fine. I am now aware that E85 can cause corrosion to fuel lines and the engine. However, I plan to continue pumping a 1:1 mix of E85/unleaded--when ever possible.
