The reason I believe that The 2007 is different from my 2006 is that the locksmith I went to said that for a 2007 I would need a programmed key running at about $80, however, with my year I simply need a standard key for $5.
I asked the dealership to check my VIN and see if OEM keyless was originally available with my car and they confirmed that it did.

With the key, if your ignition switch is all metal then you have non-transponder keys (which require no programming). If only the small round part that rotates with the key is metal and the outer part is black plastic, then you have transponder keys, which do require programming.
With the key fob, the car was available with remote entry that year, but the question is if yours was actually built with it (and the prior owner just didn't pass on the remote). If it was not, then quite a bit more than the fob is required to add it.
