That is definitely it. Now you need to find the make and read the model number off it, then you can find the manual for it and see what wires are for the lock/unlock.

It is definitely an AutoStart brand one, bu the OB-2481 model number does not seem to be a current one. You could try calling them to see if they can give you any info on it:

Which confirms the lock/unlock is simply not wired. Who would do that?? I mean break his back wiring a remote start and stop for a coffee and say "hmm lets call it a day".

Would you recommend a newbie like me to buy the wires and plug them in? Or should I leave that to a professional and pay the price?
