I might be one of the few, if not the only one who thinks you should keep the original engine. This is only because you're kinda going into unknown territory. Yes, that new engine might bolt-up and work just fine, but keep it mind that the vehicle was originally designed for a different engine. You don't know how it will affect your chassis, suspenssion, etc...(or maybe someone has documented this, if so feel free to jump in)
Of course cars are overbuilt to have a certain factor of safety, but with a new engine, who knows? You and your passenger's safety might not be as high in the event of a collision. (not that I ever want you to have one of course)
