Pity, the Australian version has a USB socket on the front panel of the radio, as well as a 3.5mm stereo input socket.
The USB socket is claimed to be able to control an iPod/iPhone, or play back MP3 files from a USB thumb drive. The 3.5 mm socket only appears as a selectable source if a cable is plugged in to it. The USB socket doesn't fare so well at charging my S4 mini. It's barely able to maintain the charge level with the screen on. The S6 with its USB3 cable is quite possibly beyond the power limit for the radio. I use an adaptor in the lighter socket if I need to charge my phone in the car.
