I think high end companies use (treated) paper cones because they can produce better all around sounds (especially lower frequencies) than poly cones. Cheap (untreated) paper cones are used because, well, they cost less and are usually paired with cheaper surround material. lol.

Yep. Thats right.
For instance if you compare the paper from b&o speakers to those that our car had from the factory the difference is day night.
And the bass that a paper cone speaker can produce is way way better than poly-vinyl cones.

Yeah, there are more to speakers than just the cone that affects the way it sounds.

Yup. She's caught up to Snow White (which I probably just put 1k miles on in the last 13 months).

Can't blame you. I don't wish to have to commute for work again, but I do look for opportunities to drive. You've quickly done some cool things to the little car, why wouldn't you want to drive it, and if it saves miles on your "nicer" car, then it makes even more sense.

Nothing new, but I did finally get around to washing her at the new place (it's been raining on and off here, and there's no rain in the forecast for the week).

LOL. They call it a 2.5 car garage, so I guess it can be also called a 3 small car garage.

They're BMW X5 LED foglights.

Dory is so pristine and shiny compared to Betty. Nice garage dude. The fog lights are... interesting.

One way to spot my car from far away

Since I already had them, and they work well, I didn't want to spend the money on the better Morimoto XB fog light series.
