I have read that I may need to back off shoes as this these could get caught in the grooves in the drum causing removal problem/s?

Parking brake will be OFF of course.

Why? Don't complicate your life.

Have you confirmed that your drums are indeed stuck, or just speculating that they probably will be?

The front suspension stabilizer bar link nuts were very tight,but the muffler flange bolts came off real easy?

I am just assuming because of high mileage and being a Canadian driven car.

Possibly but not necessarily. See how it goes.

In the top of the backing plate theres a rubber plug you can remove to insert a screwdriver to back off the brake shoe adjustment. Thats if the drum wont fit over the shoes.

Just what I needed to know...thanks.

Hopefully the shoes are still good or I will replace same time.

Just need to figure what brand is good.Some have mentioned raybestos.
