That's strange, I thought I had read Kaaz was a helical or torsen type? Thanks for the heads up.

I like the lock up in a clutch type better but I just don't want to have to remove the diff every once in a while to change clutch packs. Its a dd for me and gets driven about 25-30k I'm a year (much less than that once next year is over).

So essentially the lack of maintenance where I'll have the car down for a couple days is the reason I thought I'd avoid clutch type

Five years of racing on it and we are having our first rebuild done on an OS Giken LSD.

I like gear diffs in RWD cars, but in FWD the inside tire lift opens them up and kills forward motion. But I do agree, its set and forget it when it comes to a gear diff, only reason to open the box is if you ever need a synchro replaced.

Watch Jason at the 2015 Runnoffs and see how much better he come off the corners than the competition.
