Because, when glimpsed between the spokes, a disc with painted caliper looks cooler than a rusty drum?

Good point. For everyday driving, the OEM disc/drum brake set-up works very well on this little car.

But, like WeeYari stated, maybe it "looks cooler" with disc brakes on the rear.

ease of mainentence and suchs. have you ever seen a drum brake its a pain in the butt to get new shoes on and their is four of them. not just one or two pads like on a disc break caliper.
