Another case of a car salesman living up, or more accurately down, to their reputation. Having said that, YOU fell down on the job as well. NEVER believe ANYTHING a salesman says. Verify, verify, verify.

I would take it back and throw a holy fit. Threaten to contact your state's Attorney General and then do so if they don't resolve the issue. Either they take back the car for full refund or you keep car for a partial refund. That's what I'd do. Good luck.
