Must be the age of the product.. my Tanabes gave out mid last year from 2008 and replaced with OE KYBs. Glad those MIs are still going strong. What's your ODO reading at?

I'm at 174k km. Got about 74k km on the MI and the OE shocks have been on the car since I got the car in 2006.
