when i installed mine it felt chunky. it smoothed out after a few weeks. i sometimes still have issues with it grinding into first, but i think that is just how this trans is.

Sorry for being a little late to this reply but I installed it a couple of years ago and had the grinding issue, turns out the orientation matters so you might want to double check that. I never had grinding after properly orientating it.
