On the driver side I've taken out the small panel (two screws) beneath the knee airbag and looked under, no spare connector. I think you're out of luck mate. I have an 2012 Australian ZR and I couldn't find the connectors. It's also worth noting that we don't even have the panel on the passenger side under the glove box to mount the lamp!

If you really wanted to do it, you'd probably find the necessary wiring on one of the connectors that sit behind the kick panels. You'd need to get testing with a multimeter to see if you can find the ground wire that's being switched and a power source. Good luck :)
