Cracked block or cylinder head from frozen coolant
Improperly machined head and block surfaces
Corrosion damage of cylinder liners
Damage or corroded cooler cores
Water pump seal failure and weep-hole blockage
No never overheated in it's life, it was my first manual car and did have a rough start when I was learning.
I have only done 6000km since I got it with 227000km on the clock now.
Probably never had valve seals or anything checked.
What are the main things that can go first and foremost? Valves sealing be an issue?

If you purchased the car with 227k km on the clock then how are you so sure it has never overheated in its life? I would be suspect of some serious engine issues from its previous owner that just took a few thousand kms to show up since you took ownership

I can be sure as it was my boss's car and I had a previous history with her prior to purchase, nothing out of the ordinary except for a battery drain issue this has all started since doing city and interstate driving.
