It would have come from a Gen1 Yaris/Vitz/Vios, aka Echo in North America. One difference not being considered is those cars were equipped with hydraulic power steering vs the electric system you have. Don't know if that would factor into a swap, or just a matter of bypassing the pump.

yeah that was the first dead give away, the second being the piping is all wrong
