Just to double check, will this Magnaflow system pass NYS computer inspection without being CARB compliant? Don't want to go through all the expense and trouble then have it hooked up to the NYS inspection computer and have an issue

I may have jumped the gun on that by saying yes. Did a bit of reading and noticed NY requires CARB compliance. I don't know how anal your inspection sites are and if they'd bother looking for the stamp on the cat.

Your system is probably good. My 2006 with 411,000 rust belt kms on her is still original forward of the resonator.

They won't look at the stamp, so the computer test they run will not be able to detect non-carb compliant right? Thank you

I wish they had 304 SS instead of 409 SS. My other vehicles are T-304. I could only find 409 SS for the Yaris. Living in the NE with all the salt, I wonder how long that 409 system would last????

Have all my items now. Went with all Toyota OE hardware (hangers, springs, bolts, gaskets) along with Toyota OE muffler. All this paired with the Magnaflow 52581 system. I'm keeping the original cat (only 65K miles) and I'll set that in my garage. Was thinking of selling it, but doubt I would get much so it's best just to keep

I installed the new system yesterday. Super nice Mag system along with OE muffler and hardware. Any idea what the old cat is worth for scrap?
