adjusting the valves on the 1nzfe is not a diy task, you have to replace the entire lifter as they are numbered and have a spec, have to pull the camshafts, timing chain, tensioner, etc. your engine will be fine and i measured mibe on my 4th spark plug change at 220k miles and they were all in spec
