Moving front wheels forward to clear large tiers - Toyota Yaris Forums

It has been awhile... Made a few upgrades.

Rear beam got rusty at the ends so cut the arms off at the cross bar. Added new arms with 2.5"x1/4" wall pipe. While doing that I moved the spindles back 1" and down 2". Now I do not require spacers or shock extensions. Softens the rear suspension and allows for more articulation and wheel travel. Requires removing the bit of body the hangs down below floor behind wheels. They were getting rusty anyway. Just cut off and filled in the hole with sheet steel. Also a bit more bumper trimming.

Moved the front wheels forward 3/4" and out 1/4". This eliminates the rubbing behind the wheels and almost removes rubbing on frame at lock. Also increased the caster improving driving. And improved the camber. I just cut the control arm through the outer hole. cut almost through and then bent the outer end forward and used a block to ensure even gap side to side where cut was opened up. Welded in some plate.

Finally used up my set of KO2's and installed some KO3's. Very nice tire so far. I had great experience with the KO2's and feel the KO3s are an improvement. KO3's are slightly larger than the KO2's were. I need to trim some more bumper front and rear as they are rubbing a full compression.

The 215x75 15 do throw the speedo out a bit :)
