Opinions wanted, there's never a shortage
Ok people, fire away, I want opinions on whether to make my hood and trunk lids black (at least until I can afford C/F). This could be glossy black, painted, or perhaps the flat effect I've always been partial to. My sedan is Polar white. The plan also will include black wheels with the polished lip and center. Will it look silly considering the hood is like 2 inches deep?

well here's a VERY quick and dirty photoshop to give you an idea with glossy black paint... pictures courtesy of Pepe's garage
![]() The back would look nice debadged, and with that chrome bar smoked or completely painted over...

The photoshop looks like the owner got into an accident and was too cheap to fix it properly... that is... it doesn't look good. It doesn't look intentional.
On the otherhand, if you were to carry the color of the hood all the way down the grill, AND paint the roof to match, then you would have a nice orca-two-tone look going. I think I'd turn my head in a positive way at that. |

i have always liked the white/black idea. planing on getting a cf hood and paint the top/hatch on my lb.(years from now) i would do it, but only if you get the cf parts. don't cheap out on it.

Thanks for all the input folks. Another idea is the reverse ram-air CF hood, painted white to match the rest of the car, that could be cool too.

If you did the roof, it wouldn't look too bad. Not something I'd do to mine, but it wouldn't look terrible. If it makes you happy, do it to it.

Lol Black Yaris that was too funny. For the sake of all the Yaris owners on here DON"T DO IT. You will screw It up for all us Yaris owners. I'll kick your ass myself If you do. J/k. I know what look you're going for, so just save up the money for the CF stuff. If your going to go CF hood and trunk might as well do the roof. It would look bad ass. That's just my opnion though.

I would be down for a CF hatch and doors.... a lot of weight can be pulled out of the rear, but how are some more crafty ways to remove weight from the front? or transfer the weight front the front to the rear?
relocate battery to rear I do not know what else under the hood is realy unnessisary, and I ain't getting rid of AC
