It looks like I'll be selling my high-end speakers. The owner of the sound shop here locally that I originally bought the speakers from said he has a buyer. If that doesn't work out and I put them on eBay.

I'm looking at a nice little revolver I want to get with that money...

It's tinted! most of the cars down here do that! it's a safe feature kind of thing.

So people don't know it's your sister, your mother, or yourself.

Delinquency is a major issue down there, and that is one way to protect your self from people who would put a gun in your head, and do a "kidnap express" get in your car, take you to the bank, get all your money and then if you are lucky they will let you go 100 miles away from home.

I'm glad I'm back at home, too warm for me down there, besides I didn't listen to any system for 26 days, when I got back into my Yaris and turn on the music I realized how good it feels.

I've never seen so many Yaris sedans, it's like every body gets one, I counted 2 or 3 in every block, I took pictures of a few, but didn't want to expose my self, i-Phones are big target down there.

Everything is gone. I'm going to let go of my P-01 for stupidly cheap as well (relatively)...

I sold the signed L8s and all my SEs. At this point, I'm moving on from HAT and Hybrid Audio. Don't get me wrong, great speakers. I just know what the soul of the company is...and I don't like it.

ANYWAY, I'm waiting for two 5 channel amps coming soon. They're going to bridge down into two 3 channels and give me just as much headroom as the monster DDs. I still have to unload that 4 channel.

I digress, we're looking at 230 x 2 & 440 x 1 on the left and then the same for the right side...in a class D amplifier. I already have the sub amp, at 1000 x 1 D class as well. So, think vertical (tri) amplification. I'm going to try to see if I can hear a difference. I read that the stereo separation is supposed to be better using this method.

I'm also saving a heck of a lot of space and weight. I actually have to re-tool my amp rack. I'm thinking of using some LED lighting both above and below the amps to produce a cool look. I'll also have to retool the pillars and sail panels. That's the easy part since they're mostly there already.

I've purchased a neat new XAV-701HD piece from Jim. I enjoyed the fact that it has true 5 Volt pre outs. I'll check to see if it has a more linear application of the Voltage across the pot range versus the top end boost that the P-01/P-99 has.

The new components will come after I sell the P-01. I have plans...

I'll also be repairing the Bit One at Pyramid Audio Repair. They did such a good job with the P-01, I won't hesitate to use them again. Chris Lewis, the tech who worked his magic on the P-01, said he'll take a stab at making the Bit One as good as it can be and actually fix the mods correctly (instead of the way they were from the HAT engineer that cost me a world championship).

It's so sad to see you part away from HAT, but I understand.

There was another sound competition in NY when I was away, my friend won 2nd place again by 1 point.

I'm sure he agrees I'm a few points above him even I'm not in the same category.

He is the one who wrote about my stage:

"I was impressed with the depth of your stage... it seemed to extend beyond the windshield..." and so on!

I wish I could go one day to one of these competitions.

I had to re-wire the left speaker inside the door, so I went to a local auto-audio installer and got 18 feet of wire... thinking that it was enough for both sides, since my amp is behind the passenger's door...

Left speaker took 16.5 feet of wire!

Whoaa ! Sq you sold most your stuff. Guess i been gone for a bit too long. Ha. Had a new baby boy born in Jan so its been hell getting everything ready then babysitting the wife and the newborn has been a handful.

I sold most my audio which made a few car and cell phone payments. So i have an amp and my front speakers. I cant be completely "noiseless". Most my extra cash has been going towards fishing equipment. And that shit is just as expensive as audio.

Maybe this summer i'll grab another budget system. You'll have to FB message me what happend with the HAT stuff.

No need for FB...I'll tell anyone straight out...

HAT's ethical practices are questionable at best. This is specifically true with their own competition team members. When it is found out that the company is buying it's way into competition formats such as IASCA, the objectivity of said formats is put into suspicion.

Even though I was part of the team and very close with the management of the company, I cannot allow myself to remain silent when there is an active movement to stifle competition within the sound off ranks through "covert" support of said organizations and active moves to stifle that news from ever seeing daylight.

This is just one of the company's issues.

I won't take part in any organization that allows this kind of activity while publicly denying culpability in such activities...especially when I've seen it first hand.

As for my equipment? Meh...it's all gone to good homes. All that is except for my 4 channel amp. That's still sitting in the garage. I had back luck on e-bay with some Russians playing the shell game with shipping outside the US.

Other than that it's a brand new system happening and big BIG train horns going in by the end of the month.
