Isn't your's an '09 though? I also noticed that you live in Germany.

I know that when I test drove the '10 US market Yaris, the manual had the on/off button but the auto did not.

You car looks great BTW!!

It`s a 09 but atleast in Europe its basically the same. Nobody here got a switch for TRC&VSC. We all have to do this e-brake, brake, ignition thing.

No, the 2010 manual tranny does not have a T/C switch.

You're not leaving a huge cloud of anything except clutch smoke unless you tied your car to a telephone pole. 106hp and even the shittiest tires don't exert plumes of smoke even if you dump the clutch at redline. Good luck getting warranty work done on it too with intentionally missing fuses. But hey, shit don't matter to you.

That said, I find it hilarious that a car a sneeze away from double-digit hp needs traction control. Glad I got the '09. Yes to ABS, pass to TC.

obviously you have absolutely no idea what a emergency brake is. You really should figure that one out, they are kinda important.

E-brake is failsauce, it doesn't even hold the wheels.

yea.. handbrake sux on the yaris.. wish the rear disc conversion adapted some kinda hinge to hook the handbrake cable instead of keeping the drum shoes for handbrake..

either urs isnt adjusted right or ur not pulling on it hard enough. i lock up my rear wheels when ever i want on what ever i want....

but the e-brake having the ability to hold the rear wheels.....what does this have to do with traction control removal?

Yes, I have an awesome idea what an e-brake is. Seeing how mine is a manual, I use it every day. And using it for anything other than holding the car still results in beeping from the dash because it sucks at holding back even the small amount of power a Yaris engine produces.

Yeah. They are important. I'm sure using it for burnouts is top priority.

aggreed, this thread has gone off course of the OP, i do believe my hand brake is not tight enough for the things i sometimes do. yes, it hold the car in place while ur stopped. but i use it also to power slide, well, i tried in the yaris but just doesnt happen with these drum brakes (could tighten the cables). the crx with the rear integra disc conversion i am able to easily powerslide with the flick of the handbrake.

and yes, this is not conventional driving and this does not increase your track time in the least. but i do it to get laughs and many are impressed that a front wheel car can "drift" i guess.. we dont have the luxury of droping the clutch before a turn to get the rear end to slide, therefore we rely on the handbrake. ill end my handbrake talk now.

seems like some rare models in 09 have the vsc/trac switch.. maybe earlier production of that year before the did away completly with that feature in the US models *shrugs*
