so...back to topic..

Therefore my setup would be 4-1 Headers ----> single cat--->mid pipe-->bolt on muffler?

cheers,

just one more thing, wht that coating that u put on the headers that can smoothen the air flow inside? Would it be better if i do that instead of getting a new header?

so i thought the header would give like 1 +whp. thats what i read a while back pre hack. does the mid pipe help that much? what can the expected gains be? and does it work with an axle back exhaust

You probably are talking about a ceramic coating. A ceramic coating can be applied on the outside, inside or both of an exhaust manifold or header. The function of the ceramic coating is to contain the heat within the pipe. Is not used to smooth anyting out.
Yes is useful, the DC header comes pre-coated, but the idea is to minimize the heat disipation thru the pipe.

I don't think that no one has made so far any intensive back to back dyno testing of Yaris exhaust components.
There are no back to back testing of the different header options or how they work along with other exhaust modifications. So any answer to your question will be mostly expeculation.

So all the comments you hear come from personal opinions (butt dynos).

Thats it!!

Would you apply them on everything?

Just a note for this post-I am testing the true long-tube header on the Yaris today. If it works well, we plan on making a long-tube and complete 2.25-inch mid pipe exaust to go from header to axle back. We will also make an off-raod pipe to mate the stock shorty header to this exhaust as well. I'll post as sonn as we have dyno results.

I will say only the header... you will have a hard time coating the rest of the exhaust as most of the ceramic coatings need some time in the oven to cure...

custom is the way to go IMO, and if you delete the cats be sure to get a O2 simulater or build one with the proper ohm resistor.

i am running a custom catback set up...under $200US for everything. I have pics in my garage of part of the pipe work.
