just cut your exhuast right after the first cat and o2 sensor. Then get a muffler shop to bend you piping all the way to the back with a cherrybomb glass-pack 2" diameter somewhere in the middle and the muffler of your choice at the end.

x2

thats what i did, my garage has pics of the set up. im running two glasspacks...pretty loud, but good flow and excellant tone. make sure even if you get a turbo style muffle on the end to run a long glasspack right after the cat if you want a nice deep tone. my current set up was the best flowing and cheapest i tried, but second best flowing and sounding was a borla turbo muffler on the end with a long glasspack down the middle of the car.

the borla doesnt flow as well as the shorty glasspack i have now, and it was only slightly louder than stock. good setup if you want performance and silence.

I didnt do it just because I know that if I ever go to trade in this car i KNOW the bastards would bitch about the exhaust being "tampered" with. I really would only ever buy something that is a full replacement. The convenience to be able to have my entire car factory stock again in a matter of hours is worth a few hundred bucks down the line. IMO

P.S The greddy, HKS and Blitz are NOT cat backs. They are axle backs like the rest of them. As far as I know there are no production catbacks for us yet. Dammit lol

lol... yea I googled the muffler and the size is impossible to find. See I'm going to keep my stock exhaust for when I sell the car. Nothing wrong with paying alot for a name brand but it's just not always thebest berformance. I'm going for straight exhaust... I'll probally just find a muffler and when i get the race header I'll just get biping back from that.

thanks! (I sprayed it). The price was fairly cheap too. I plan on doing similar for my yaris, but I can't decide which muffler to go with. I think I was quoted about 175, which included a Magnaflow muffler. This would be for an axleback.

imo if you are that worried about a $200 exhaust you shouldn't have bought the exhaust... I can understand if you spent 1k on it but no yars exhaust cost that much or should ever
