I definitely agree, 10.5 is too rich.

11.5 is mostly accepted to be the money spot for FI engines. I'm amazed you're even running at all that rich, as I recently had a problem with my tune where it would drop me to 10 and the engine would stutter BADLY.

I set my tune up to reach 11.5 by 5 PSI of boost, and linearly approach it as soon as boost is entered.

Anyways, congrats on the install. Could definitely use some cosmetic work though

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but here's my experience with our O2 sensor:

I drove around for about two months without a tune, letting the O2 sensor handle all the fueling. While in closed loop, it was always successful of maintaining stoich, even while in boost.

Eventually something strange happened, whereby the ECU threw the car into open loop at all times. No CELs or anything associated with it either. The car would quickly lean out during boost (I saw 15+ and it was continuing to climb), so something had to be done. I decided to just pull the O2 sensor and tune the car in open loop. Worked like a charm, drives great, and is very tunable.

In retrospect, I think what happened was the ECU was witnessing negative fuel trims (adding fuel) that exceeded the malfunction threshold (-20%). As a failsafe, it determined open loop should be used. I'm not sure why it didn't throw a code though (however P0101, the code I did have at the time, does have a connection to fuel trim - so that could be it). I could have tested this theory by resetting the ECU but said screw it and tuned the car in open loop instead.

wow dude, you prove yet again that you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

to the OP, i ran a top mount on my setup and dropped 20degs F through the intercooler. it was a 3" saab unit, and worked perfectly.

Its CDYDJDED, now that that's cleared up, Im sure you topmount worked great. Im sure others have failed. I would just like to know of 1 company that sells a I/C that goes from front mount to top mount. I can find many that go from top mount to front mount. I just find it amazing that you cant accept that the majority of turbocharged vehicles use front mount systems not top mount.

subaru and toyota use front mount.

toyota and volkswagen use side mount.

when i turbo the MR2 i'll use a heat exchanger front-mounted for my water/air cooler..

some things make more sense than others.
