One morning (about 04:15) I was on my way home from work on the Interstate just jamming to some good 80's music when I just threw caution to the wind. The next thing I knew the needle swung past 70 (briefly) and if I didn't immediately turn back my life would spiral down a bottomless abyss of dis pare. I could see my future in the blur of the broken center line. The next step would be smoking, and drinking beer.

I banged off the TSL once, thats all I needed. No need to push 100+mph with this car, its scary enough at 65 with a strong gust of wind

I walked along the avenue. I never thought I'd meet a girl like you; Meet a girl like you. With auburn hair and tawny eyes; The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through; Hypnotize me through. And I ran, I ran so far away. I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away. A cloud appears above your head; A beam of light comes shining down on you, Shining down on you. The cloud is moving nearer still. Aurora borealis comes in view; Aurora comes in view. And I ran, I ran so far away. I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away. Reached out a hand to touch your face; You're slowly disappearing from my view; Disappearing from my view. Reached out a hand to try again; I'm floating in a beam of light with you; A beam of light with you. And I ran, I ran so far away. I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away.

Fastest I've been is 55 mph. Gas is 3.50 U.S. 55 is plenty fast, 'specially when I filled up last week at 3.09. Tho, I still get passed by dualies hauling campers at 85 mph -- clearly richer than I.

I still can't figure it out. I travel an Interstate during my commute to work and people are blowing past me like I am in low gear. How do they afford to run there big ass SUV's like that all week long?

As long as I still see that kind of behavior I will *know* that gas is still pretty fucking cheap. Oddly, we small car drivers see a better return the more gas goes up. The difference between 2 bucks a gallon and 3 bucks a gallon is 10 bucks per fill up for us. Where as, those poor suckers driving 20 gallon tanks are paying 20 bucks more. Typically speaking, all cars are designed to go about 400 miles on a tank -- so they don't ever get anything for the money -- and every cent adds up quick the more gas you have to dump into the tank. |

True. But I never see any more than one person in a Yaris either (and I'm starting to see a bunch of 'em -- along with priuses) that can comfortably seat four. If there was a smaller car with better mileage just to haul my ass around, I would have bought it. Assuming, of course, it was the well designed, high quality, car the Yaris already is. :)

Hey, when it comes to speed, I'd never lie....I often race 2007 Corvettes, and Vipers...never lost a race yet! ...You just have to know how to drive...that's all...
