The display for the YarGauge may need to have the similar qualities as the Gas gauge, maybe adding a brighter background and contrast adjustment to the LCD it self may help

You might want to check out alibaba if you haven't already for a suitable screen to keep costs down, I learned over time that you can perhaps source it, if not find something similar and contact them. Keep costs down for yourself.

Funny... I had to google VFD because I always use the term to mean variable frequency drive.
There are some really good alternative acronym definitions here:

Personally, I think you must be referring to very fancy dollies.

Since I've already swapped to the RS cluster and have a 1800 mile variation from stock mileage on the car~

What I'll most likely do is install 2-3 in relatively local cars. That way, if they find any issues that require software fixes, I can easily reflash them.
