What I am trying to get at is....it's very likely that this is only a little piece of something that is much bigger and more expensive so some may want to strap on their seatbelts to know that the whole system is thousands, excluding the mechanical work (if they cant' do it themselves). Not tyring to be a "downer" at all...just want to get a bit of a clearer picture.
In another thread, Richard posted a dyno shoot showing 25hp and 13lb/ft gain at the wheels

"......using a CAI (actually flipped over stock filter lid), the new intake manifold, long-tube header and 2.25-inch exhaust, NST u-pulleys & Xd Tb"

Chupacabra, use the seach feature and read the other thread(s) about this intake. This thread is just a picture showing off the production piece. (And I'm so glad he made it real for all those that wanted a picture).

It is designed to be bolted onto a stock motor and provide a significant gain in hp. Period.

In addition, it can be used on a built motor or a turbo motor (or both, as I intend to do).

Thanks for the concern, but as indicated by Cali-the intake was designed to offer power gains with no other chnages to the motor. This is why I have posted so many power numbers from our extensive dyno testing before running a photo of the actual intake. Having tested this intake in every possible combination, it adds power over the stock intake regardless of the level of modifications (from stock to the mods listed in the thread on the 123 wheel hp).

Thanks for all the kind words-it was a lot of work and we still have some final testing to do before starting the production run. Sory for th edelay-but I want the intake perfect beforeit goes into production to ensure everyone is completley satisfied with their purchase. Each will have serial number-intake in the photo is DRXP001 (Dynatek Racing Experimental prototype 001).

Lol, purely aesthetic i hope? It would be alot easier on his half if you buy the manifold and have another person do it in CF

are you serious?

we're lucky enough to have someone take the time to actually engineer something like this for our cars...

why do you think that I am joking? CF is a great material for an intake plenum!

Given the cost, complexity and time frame, it makes more sense to make the intakes out of aluminum.
