The CNC guys at Origin Design can make an adaptor for any throttle body. How is the Corolla throttle body configured differently from the Yaris one?

tooter, once you get a bigger resonator-to-axleback exhaust piece, youll likely feel better gains all over

That's one of the next steps... also a longer intake.

You can keep tossing parts at it, but until you can tune it you are not going to see the big gains.

this. and also, bolt-ons for such a low powered motor are kinda pointless imo... i'm new to the yaris and toyotas in general, but in honda land, if you wanna make big power, start with the head.

It bolts right on, it has a little larger throat.

It has a bigger opening, nothing more. same bolt pattern, it's a direct bolt on. You'd just need a bigger opening on the adapter

Really? The tooter adaptor gradually transitions to the slightly smaller stock yaris throttle body diameter from the larger Corolla diameter. since all of the other CNC information is exactly the same, it would be a simple matter to just make one with a straight through bore.

Is the Corolla throttle body also drive by wire? If so, is the electrical plug compatable?

Plug and Play.

Only issues I've read about are ppl needing to swap the chip on it from the one on the yaris. But others have just slapped it on, readjust the throttle plate idle screw and go.

That's about 80% true. If you get the 1ZZ TB whose part number ends in 031, you won't need to do the chip swap, just have the ECU re-learn the intake volume. At worst, you'll have a slightly higher idle until the engine warms up. This is what I'm dealing with, and don't mind, but I know thebarber took his off because of the same problem.

If you do decide to polish and cut the nubs off, this is actually a Prius valve cover. I discovered the nubs on the rear are hollow and had a hole in it so had to replace it. The Prius uses those rear ones to hold something.
