Here in Malta they are everywhere!! 2 of every 10 cars are. Vitz (japan imports) I still see a lot of 1st gen on the street, most are 2nd gen like mine and a few are 3rd Gen.

They are a reasonably common sight in the UK. 1st gen seem to be the most popular. I think the 1st gen was a pretty cutting edge car when it came out. The 1 litre engine had more power and better economy than the VW Polo and the Ford Fiesta which were the main super minis at the time.
MK2's are a fairly regular sight. Most common in gray or red. MK3's don't seem to have done as well. The Honda Jazz (Fit in other markets) seems to have sold better lately.
