It sucks that I have to move up to SM because of the S/C.

Oh well. I'll switch to RT 615 later in the summer or to Kuhmo XS.

Whooppee, you're going to drag race yours, right? You're trying to beat the best 1/4 mile time for a Yaris?

On a track, right?

Just warn them that if they get behind you, that you tend to eject parts from your engine bay as obstacles for them.

Sorry, I could not help myself.

I dumped a bottle of Octane Boost 104 in the car this morning before the autocross event. Even with the warm weather and a passenger, I did not have any pre-ignition.

Yaris t-sport heard the A/C noise coming from my car today. He thinks it's coming from a rattling heat shield somewhere along the exhaust. I'll find it next weekend.

My mechanic did it but I think the heat shield is still there. Why? Was he supposed to remove it?

The heat shield will not go back on with an aftermarket header (because an important bracket is welded to the stock header).

It's easy to see if it's on there by looking directly behind the motor - if you can see the header, you don't have a heat shield on there.

I still have my stock header + heat shield. I noticed this rattling as soon as I was done the install... I can't imagine that it was just coincidence that my heat shield got loose right at the same time! Must be something else. A/C coolant lines vibrating together maybe? They run into the cabin.

If you want the connectors and pins to make sense, you actually have to look down on the connector through the wires. I believe that is the orientation.

Or, you can do the mental gymnastics and realize that it is reversed. I think the diagram shows the pins in relation to the ECU if you look down on the ECU.

Blitz Fuel Controller Wiring

Hello again, all. I just heard from my mechanic again as he is working on finishing up the install on the fuel controller for the Blitz system on my 2008 Liftback.

Please, just one more question for which I need an answer....the little red light on the Compressor Switch that mounts inside the cabin...is it supposed to be on all the time, or just lit under boost, or not at all? So far, after my technician started and just idled the car, there is no light, however, he said that he CAN hear the compressor whine when he blips the throttle, so it does seem like the clutch is engaging. That is all good! But again, no red light on the switch....so, if someone could please just let me know which is correct regarding the red light on the compressor switch that is mounted inside the cabin, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks again! rpalai

Thanks for helping my customer out -- I just don't have an answer for him.

Richard, if you could be specific about which two wires you are having trouble placing, that would help - colors?

If you look at the first picture. It's the large connector from a bottom view. The second picture is the wiring diagram just as if you were looking directly at the pins of the ECU. Imagine rotating the connector harness down to mate with the diagram. See how the three rows of six pins on the left will mate up?

So to find the right wires, we looked at the connector from the top (wire side) and counted pins to match the diagram.

Hey Peter, I've uploaded another video. Waiting for YouTube to process.

It's not as spectacular as your last one but it shows a vacuum/boost gauge and wideband in action while driving.

I hope. The video is a little blurry because of zoom and my camera mount was shaking like crazy. This is my first time using Microsoft Movie Maker. It's a pretty cool tool.

What in the heck does YouTube do with a video that takes so long to process?!?
