HID question / Take off the...

I am installing Garms kit at the moment and was wondering, do I take off the glare shield? It would make sense to do this since the OEM headlight assembly has it already.

Thanks
Duane

I kept the chrome shield.....
It helps cut out glare.... and it doesnt affect the look.... so I'd say keep it on.... as Im sure everyone else has.

Yes, 6K. Many people say they have a hint of Blue, mine are pure white and I love them!

The high beam light in the dash doesn''t work anymore, not sure why...

My car is Bayou Blue too. ;) I have the LE which is fully loaded minus the 60/40 seat, fogs and wheels..few details. I have the fogs on order and should be here this week too! Remote start should be here by next week. :)

I heard a rumour that CTSCOTT has the "easy" solution..... not sure if this is true.... it never bothers me that the high beam light never comes on.... I know when they are on so no probs.

6k looks blue up close and looking at them but they throw out white light.... fog and rain sucks with HIDs though, lol.

Yes, he has something written up, just saw it. I was more concerned of when wife drives the car. Everything was plug and play, no cutting anything. The rubber fit like OEM over the HID as well. :)

Up close mine are White and far away, just sayin...zero Blue. ;)

If someone has a solution about the high beam light in dash, I will check back again.

^ yes, there is an easy fix to that. there should be a little leftover harness hanging around, I think it has to be jumpered or something - there is a thread in DIY I'm pretty sure.

Link? Is this something I can do under the hood?! I didn't see any extra harness. Pic of it?

The light in dash now works after a 15 min install of one wire, Scotts DIY info.

Thanks Scott, done!
