problem with 2012 factory stereo

for the most part, the stereo works fine. for some reason with certain MP3 albums i have on my ipod, the tracks on certain albums come up as separate albums. basically it wont play as a whole album with certain albums.

Has anyone encountered this problem? if so how did you fix this ?? thanks for any info guys !!!

mp3s use ID3 tags to store information about each song. There are a lot of different tags, but two that can mess you up are: Album Artist and Artist.

Most of the time when I would get songs that would be separated for unknown reasons I went into iTunes in and selected all of the songs on that album. Right click Properties (I think, I don't have iTunes installed on this computer) and then changed the Album Artist and Artist tags. Sometimes you have to clear out each, save then type the artist name back in and re-save, iTunes is twitchy about it for some reason.

Hope that's the problem and it works out for you!
