another tach question
on models without a tach, do they make an indicator, such as light, to know when to shift gears? i've seen them in some cars in the past but i wasn't sure if they made any after market gadgets. if not do most of u just listen to the engine or look @ speed to tell when to shift?

There's no such indication on Yaris. At least not on US models.
But if you ask me - this light is in no way a replacement for tachometer. It's doesn't even help. You feel the car after you get to know it and you don't need no light to tell you when to upshift. A tach is different story. Nobody looks at tach when they're shifting driving around. But it shows you exact RPM when you need to know it and that kinda helps to get to feel your car even deeper. |
