Oil Return on upper oil pan sub assembly
I found this here on the forum and I have a few questions.
how many inches from the bottom of the oil pan assembly to the desired spot for the oil return? also what size of an fitting is the best for oil return coming out of the oil pan assembly? My T28 turbo oil feed line came damaged and I need to replace it, Do you guys have any good places to buy oil feed and return lines? |

You want to drop the oil it above the oil level, rather than feeding it into the bottom of the oil pan. Where that arrow points to is just about right to be above the oil level (About 3" above the oil pan gasket). I would use a -AN type bulkhead fitting of the proper size for the turbo's output oil fitting.
JEGS and Summit Racing carry oil lines and fittings at reasonable prices.

If I remembered I used a 9/16" bit and a 3/8 npt fitting with a 5/8" barb end.

That is something you might have to determine for yourself. Avoid any kinks in the line to prevent oil from puddling and creating an oil flow restriction.

With fluids and particularly viscous ones you want to avoid 90 degree turn, unless that have a wide radius, so either do the 45 or straight.
